James L. Thomas is the founder of Delta Resources LLC.  In business since January 2001, Jim has provided services to companies around the world in the basic areas of sales, marketing and financial engineering.  Ultimately his work revolves around removing barriers preventing his customers from accomplishing their business goals.  His unique background (chemistry, chemical engineering, business and programming) allows for highly innovative solutions to be developed and applied to his customers’ most challenging problems.

International and domestic clients include Shibaura, Mitsui, Shibatec, NASA, Tricon, DynaSig, JetStream, FilterMag, McCartney MultiMedia, Aspect Systems, Wavelength, Medtronic, National Scientific, Azuradisc, Molecular Robotics, Micro Component Technology, Phoenix Semiconductor, Qnet Systems, Helio Solutions and Value Options.  Delta Resources currently has offices in Arizona, Singapore and The Netherlands.

His work with these companies has included location and assessment of acquisition and investment targets and strategic market (or account) penetration planning.  Additionally he provides sales organization development and operation.  This is typically coupled with creation of financial acquisition tools enhancing competitiveness.

Prior to Delta Resources his background has been rooted in sales, marketing and financing of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. As Vice President of Business Development at The Garrett Group, his focus was asset based financing of capital equipment for semiconductor manufacturing. He developed new financing tools to help his clients close new business.  He also expanded the business from domestic markets to European and Asian theaters of operation.

Prior to the Garrett Group, Jim was the Southwest Region Sales Manager for Credence Systems and the Worldwide Sales Manager for Motorola.  He was responsible for recruiting strategic sales and applications teams.  During his tenure, the installed based for Credence Systems doubled.

Before Credence, Jim and his brother founded J.D. Thomas Company, which developed the semiconductor industry’s first strategic sales software for equipment vendors.  The Sales Professional was an expert system designed to cause sales people (and their organization) to approach capital equipment sales campaigns with strategic plans while fully coordinating all necessary internal resources. At Perkin-Elmer, Jim was the Central Region Sales Manager, responsible for three sales offices covering seventeen states.  At Air Products and Chemicals, he was a sales engineer selling industrial and specialty gases.
