For over thirty years Pat’s sales and marketing leadership has consistently produced net new business and the strongest of account relationships. His areas of expertise include technology and services sales, data management, and direct marketing.
Pat’s career has included work with Fortune 200 companies as well as small to medium-sized businesses. Most recently, as vice president of sales for Avnet Managed Technologies Pat broadly expanded the customer base and created industry-leading new services.
Just prior to Avnet, Pat worked with two mid-sized companies developing channel strategies and new accounts both in the US and Europe. In these capacities, Pat developed and led sales and marketing strategies that grew a 12 year old telemarketing services company by more than 300%. He doubled the executive sales team and created a marketing department. As the director of international sales and marketing for a publicly held software company based in Milwaukee, Pat was responsible for all company operations outside of the US. He grew services revenue 400% in two years, with revenue per employee 300% of the company average.
Pat founded a marketing services and printing company in the New England area. He grew the east coast customer base from under 20 to over 500 manufacturing and retail accounts.
For over a decade he played key roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, including sales management where he specialized in new account acquisition and new markets. During his tenure at Digital, he was selected to lead a worldwide team of senior technical sales and marketing managers that created and implemented a global sales workstation on time and on budget. At Digital, Pat’s expertise also extended to several aspects of direct marketing. He created and managed the company’s customer database and founded the Direct Marketing Center for Expertise. The organization was responsible for the quality review of all direct marketing for the US.
