An accomplished senior executive, Mr. Yount has more than twenty years of successful experience in management, sales, marketing, and consulting covering biotechnology, medical devices, high-tech start-ups, and corporate aviation. He has a proven track record of expanding business and markets for major corporations and smaller clients. His experience spans both the domestic and international arenas.
After serving his country as a United States Army officer with both foreign and domestic postings, Mr. Yount began his career in field sales with Johnson & Johnson. He subsequently held a successful sales position with U.S. based Cutter Labs and later headed Federal Government sales and marketing for European based Kabi-Vitrum. He then joined Genentech as a Clinical Marketing Specialist during the birth of the biotech revolution. As a regular guest lecturer on interventional cardiology at the University of Miami School of Medicine and a published author, his sales successes and clinical expertise were widely acclaimed.
Moving into management for Genentech, Mr. Yount successfully headed field sales in Florida and the Caribbean before being promoted to manager of Sales Operations. Here he built business relationships with major customers and distributors throughout the country while overseeing all operational aspects of sales and customer service. His major initiatives included electronic commerce, field sales automation, and strategic modeling for long term planning. After accepting the position of Regional Director for Managed Care, Mr. Yount assumed responsibility for relationships and negotiations with managed care organizations throughout the southwestern United States. Mr. Yount later served as President of Executive Flight Services, a business aviation consulting and management firm he co-founded. The proprietary cost modeling software he developed helped launch the company to international success with clients on three continents.
Now as a senior partner at Delta Resources, Mr. Yount is continually challenged to help both public and private companies develop and launch new products, expand existing markets, provide strategic planning, and increase profitability. He has also acted as start-up CEO and COO for newly funded ventures. He has consulted for small and mid size clients as well as Fortune 500 corporations.
Mr. Yount holds a Master of International Management degree with a specialization in Global Marketing from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management. In addition he holds an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, as well as undergraduate degrees in Military Science and Architectural Technology. He has also earned IT certifications from Microsoft and CompTIA. In his spare time Mr. Yount is an FAA certified commercial pilot and a PADI certified Divemaster who enjoys spending time in various outdoor activities. Mr. Yount is a native English speaker with a working knowledge of Italian and Spanish.
